Questions about this webinar
When should I sign up for Medicare?
Your Initial Enrollment Period lasts seven months: it starts three months before the month you turn 65, includes your birthday month, and ends three months after. Enrolling inside that window helps you avoid late-enrollment penalties. If you are still working and have employer coverage, different rules can apply.
What is the difference between Original Medicare and Medicare Advantage?
Original Medicare (Parts A and B) is run by the federal government and lets you see any doctor who accepts Medicare. Medicare Advantage (Part C) is sold by private insurers, bundles Parts A and B (usually with Part D and extras) and uses a provider network with a yearly out-of-pocket maximum.
Does Medicare cover everything?
No. Original Medicare leaves gaps such as deductibles, 20% coinsurance, and most dental, vision and hearing care. Many people add a Medicare Supplement (Medigap) plan or choose Medicare Advantage to manage those costs.
Is the Medicare webinar really free?
Yes. The webinar is free, educational and has no obligation. A licensed TrueCare agent is available afterward if you want help comparing plans, at no cost to you.
Who should attend a Medicare basics webinar?
It is designed for people age 60 and over, anyone recently retired or planning to retire, and family members helping a parent understand Medicare for the first time.
Prefer to talk it through first?
A licensed Houston Medicare agent will answer your questions at no cost.
