Supplemental Insurance helps reduce the impact of financial burdens in case of a serious accident or illness.  These plans are available on a per person basis.  Businesses can empower their employees to choose supplemental insurance plan options that work best for them and, though part of a group, not everyone needs to apply for the same plan.   Individuals and families are free to make choices as to which plans are of value to them and fits within their budget.  We are all individuals with our own special needs and wants.  It is important to have choices that we feel will benefit us.

TrueCare is available to help sort and make sense of your options.  There are a variety of supplemental insurance plans to consider:

  • Disability Insurance – Short Term Disability Insurance is a source of income protection in case you are not able to work due to an accident or illness not related to occupational illnesses or injuries.
  • Accident Insurance – Accident Insurance plans are available to help with costs that stem from a covered accident.  Medical insurance pays the doctors, hospitals, etc. but accident insurance provides funds to help with deductibles, co-payments and other related expenses not covered by the medical plan.
  • Cancer Insurance – Cancer Insurance plans are designed to help offset the high cost of care in the event of a cancer diagnosis. Specialists and treatment costs can add up quickly.  Cancer Insurance, for those who qualify, help defray these costs.
  • Specified Health Insurance – These plans help cover expenses for specific diagnoses such as:
  • Heart Attack & Coronary Artery Bypass Surgery
  • Stroke
  • End-Stage Renal Failure
  • Other Categories – There are many other supplemental plans available. These plans include provisions to help cover costs for:
  • Hospital Confinement
  • Vision
  • Dental
  • Intensive Care
  • Long Term Care
  • And More…

Supplemental life insurance is also available.  Some Supplemental Insurance plans do not have coordination of benefits.  The benefit may be paid to the policy holder not the medical institution.  Supplemental insurance is generally portable and renewable for life.  These plans are individually underwritten however and not everyone may qualify for all Supplemental Insurance plans.
